Rock 'n' roll, a pop music with rhythmic body movements on the beat of drum was mostly influenced by Beatles song. They were the most successful of all the music groups in the world of popular music.
Beatles were at the zenith of success in the year1962-65 with their song
"Love Me Do" followed by another smashing hit "Please Please Me". They never looked back for several years after that. The new wave of popular songs generated a hilarious effect among the young generation all over the world. Their all time sales estimated by a music company at over 1 billion discs and tapes.

Although this group was disintegrated in 1970, some of them later on got some success as solo singers. The world famous Beatles began to change their style and were attracted and influenced by Indian music as well as religion.
In the year1980, a tragic happened as John Lenon, the prominent member of the group was shot dead in the New York City. But it is very interesting to note that 15 years after the John Lenon was murdered, the three surviving members of the Beatles group returned again to the world of music. In 1995, they recorded some songs in the London studios that captured the old touch for the new generation.

Q:- Where is Alhambra?

The Arabic word of 'Alhambra' means the 'The Red Castle'. It is a place and fortress at Granada in Spain overlooking the river Darro. It stands on a hill below the Sierra Nevada Mountains. The construction of Alhambra was begun in 1248 and completed in 1354.
It was built by the Moors, a Muslim people, who occupied Spain in the Middle Ages. The Moors were the inhabitants of Mauritania, an African province of Roman Empire which is today known as Morocco.
The place was built during the reigns of Al Ahmar and his successor. The walls and ceilings of the palace contains words from the Koran, the holy book of Islam. After the Moors were driven out the interior were effected and the furniture were ruined.
Charles V, who ruled Spain from 1516 to 1556, rebuilt its portions in the Renaissance style and destroyed part of Alhambra to built an Italian Palace designed by Pedro de Machuca in 1526. It was further destroyed by the French during the Napoleonic wars in 1812 and Earthquake in 1821. The restoration of the building was started in 1828.
The most Important parts of the Alhambra are the 'Hall Of Ambassadors', a specially grand reception room and the 'Hall of Two Sisters' with its outstanding example of stalactite work... It is a UNESCO world heritage site.

She ruled for 63 years and 7 months died on January 22, 1901. She was very popular with her people. All over the British empire, celebrations were held to mark the golden and Diamond Jubilee of her reign in 1887 and 1897 respectively.
During her reign Britain became very powerful with rapid industrial expansion, growing large empire overseas, and literary output and prolonged peace.
In 1840, Queen Victoria married her cousin Prince Albert of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha. She was deeply devoted to her husband. When Albert died in a premature death in 1861, Queen Victoria was so distressed that she withdrew from all social ocassions, and led a solitary life. But despite this she took an active interest in administrative affairs and took all the important decisions herself. She had nine children, who are married into other royal families of Europe.
The present Queen , Elizabeth II is the great-great- grand-daughter of Queen Victoria.
